There are many prophecies concerning the new covenant in the Bible. Let's look at one of them.

Jeremiah 31:31 "The time is coming," declares the LORD, "when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah.

God Almighty says that in the future, He will establish a new covenant. Some people may ask themselves why this is significant or important! If you continue reading, God says why: (vs. 34) "'...For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.'" Through the new covenant we can have the forgiveness of sins! Let's see what the new covenant is.

Luke 22:14-15 "When the hour came, Jesus and his apostles reclined at the table. And he said to them, "I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer.

Jesus told his disciples that his desire was to celebrate the Passover with them. Why...?

Luke 22: 19-20 "And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, 'This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.' In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you."

...Because through the Passover bread and wine He established the new covenant. It's understood that the Passover is the new covenant through which we can receive the forgiveness of sins. But how often has anyone heard of the New Covenant Passover? Not much! As I wrote in a previous blog, Passover was abolished in 325AD by Roman Emperor Constantine. Let's see what God's plan is according to the Bible.

Hebrew 8:8 "...The time is coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah."

In the new testament , it is written again that the Lord will come and make a new covenant! The book of Hebrews was written around 70AD after Jesus Christ ascended to the Kingdom of Heaven. We can conclude that this verse is not referring to Jesus Christ at his first coming, but second coming Christ.

Hebrews 9:28 "so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him."

Second Coming Christ Ahnsahnghong came to establish the new covenant Passover, so that all those who are waiting may receive the forgiveness of sins and eternal life.
